« When Is It? »

This abstract, powerfully textured piece explores themes of time, anticipation, and impatience. With its wide, rigid brushstrokes forming a near-architectural frame around a more tumultuous center, the artist invites us to contemplate a moment in flux — something forming, unresolved. The title, « When Is It? », asks a universal, almost visceral question — one we pose to the future, the unknown, or ourselves.

The dominant reddish ochre tones, layered with deep grooves and striations, evoke something ancient, burning, almost earthy. Through this structured composition, we feel the erosion of time, the weight of waiting. Flecks of blue and white, subtle yet intentional, break through the surface like signs of hope, openness, or an approaching answer.

Through its density and tactile intensity, this painting calls for patience, introspection — and perhaps a revolt against stillness. It offers no answers. It simply invites reflection.

Cette œuvre abstraite, puissamment texturée, interroge le temps, l’attente, et l’impatience. Par ses larges coups de pinceau circulaires et rigides qui semblent encadrer un centre plus tourmenté, l’artiste nous invite à contempler un processus en gestation, un moment suspendu. Le titre, « C’est pour quand ? », pose une question universelle, presque viscérale, celle que l’on adresse au futur, à l’inconnu, à soi-même.

La dominante ocre rougeâtre, traversée de strates et de reliefs profonds, évoque une matière ancienne, brûlante, presque terrestre. À travers cette structure presque architecturale, l’on perçoit l’érosion du temps, l’attente accumulée. Quelques traces de bleu et blanc, discrètes mais significatives, percent la surface comme des signes d’espoir, d’ouverture ou de réponse prochaine.

Ce tableau, par sa densité et sa force tactile, est un appel à la patience, à l’introspection, mais aussi à la révolte face à l’immobilité. Il ne donne pas de réponse. Il invite simplement à la réflexion.

Stella Polare

French-Uzbek young contemporary artist, based in Paris. Her real name, Khulkar, is translated as «polare star», that is why she sas chosen the artistic name Stella Polare. Today the artist aims to transmit the message that it is «urgent to be joyful» though her art. Indeed the concept the artist is developing she called « vitaculture », that means the joy urgency. Stella Polare exhibited at UNESCO, Louvre, she had also carte blanche at Palais Jacques Coeur in 2021, the same year 2021 she was invited to the Parole des Femmes, public talk at the House of the Great French writer, Maison de George Sand.
