Description
The Minotaur and the Pencil Sharpener
In the labyrinth’s shadowy embrace,
Minotaur ponders with solemn grace.
A beastly figure, burdened with care,
For tasks to come, he’s ever aware.
He prays to the moon, his horned head bowed,
In the stillness, away from the crowd.
Whispering softly, his voice a refrain,
« Pardon me, gods, I must prepare again. »
With fervent zeal, he clutches his whip,
A ritual flagellation, a penitence trip.
« Forgive me, strength, for battles ahead,
I must be ready, alive or dead. »
His prayers then shift to a humble plea,
For a pencil sharpener, his soul to free.
« Sharpen my purpose, like pencil to point,
In the crucible of life, let me not disjoint. »
With every lash, a vow renewed,
To be prepared, in solitude.
For challenges unseen, he must endure,
With each prayer, his resolve grows pure.
Minotaur’s eyes gleam with sacred fire,
In his heart burns a deep desire.
To face his trials, his path aligned,
By the grace of the pencil sharpener, defined.
In the labyrinth’s heart, where echoes reside,
Minotaur’s prayers and pain coincide.
Flagellating with fervor, his spirit refined,
In the quest for purpose, his soul entwined.
