The Architecture of Dreams
The Architecture of Dreams is a research project exploring how a child’s thought, memory, or words can become a visual and spatial structure.
Drawing on floral forms, fragments of Uzbek ikat, and geometries derived from Central Asian architecture, I develop drawings and installations in which the flower ceases to be a motif. It becomes an axis, a threshold, a dome, an enclosure, a void, and a space of passage.
The forms are constructed through layering, imperfect symmetry, displacement, and transparency. Emptiness, light, colour, and the viewer’s position all contribute to their emergence. The flower is no longer represented: it becomes an unstable architecture of living forms.

Khulkar Yunusova is a French-Uzbek artist living and working in France. Her practice brings together drawing, textiles, installation, and artist’s books.
She transforms forms derived from flowers, dreams, Central Asian architecture, and ikat into geometric and spatial structures. Through void, light, transparency, and passage, she develops an artistic inquiry into transmission and the conditions through which living forms emerge.
Her work has notably been presented in France, Germany, and Uzbekistan.
