Description

Silk Scarf “Minotaure space N15”

by Stella Polare Artiste, Paris

This minotaur silk scarf  90×90 is conceived in Paris and crafted in Italy, part of the Minotaure collection by Stella Polare Artiste.
More than a designer object, it brings together contemporary art, symbolic language, and textile craftsmanship.

You see a scarf. I create a metaphor.

This designer silk scarf “Minotaure Space N°15” , a part of the Minotaures universe and  Minotaure scarf series,  unfolds as a visual composition where fragments coexist without hierarchy — architecture, gesture, memory, and figure.

The Minotaur appears not as a mythological creature, but as a moving sign, navigating between space and perception.

The composition moves away from geography and enters a more open field — a space of projection, where color, rhythm, and structure interact freely.

Forms dissolve, overlap, and reassemble, suggesting thoughts in motion, like constellations forming and dissolving across an internal landscape.

Concept

The Minotaur was first imagined during a period of confinement, as a figure evolving through inner and outer spaces.

It emerges from a reflectio on the French letter “H” — a letter that structures meaning while remaining silent.

Present in words such as Homme and Honneur, it operates as an invisible axis within language.

From this paradox, the Minotaur takes form:

– a silent force
– a shifting identity
– a presence that exists between what is seen and what is sensed

Its gesture echoes sign language, where meaning is carried through the body rather than through sound.

Artistic Vision

Stella Polare or Khulkar Yunusova is a French-Uzbek artist based near Paris.

Her work is built around the idea of vitaculture — the urgency of joy as a conscious and lived act.

Her practice connects:

– image and language
– individual experience and collective narratives
– Eastern and Western cultural references

Her work has been presented n institutions such as UNESCO, the Louvre, and Palais Jacques Cœur ,as well as in independent exhibition contexts.

Why a scarf

Within this practice, the scarf becomes a medium rather than an accessory.

It functions as:

– a surface of expression
– a mobile artwork
– a space where identity can shift

Historically associated with both adornment and constraint, the scarf carries layered meanings — from European codes of elegance to Central Asian textile traditions.

It also reflects on invisible gestures, including forms of labor and care that remain outside visibility.
